College football [edit]

Levi's Stadium has hosted numerous college football games. The first college game played in that location was an October 2014 regular season game between the Oregon Ducks and the California Gold Bears, in which Oregon won.^[124] The stadium was the home of the Redbox Bowl (formerly the Foster Farms Bowl) and it served as the host for the Pac-12 Championship Game from 2014 through 2019. In January 2019, Levi's Stadium hosted the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship, mark the first time the College Football Playoff title game was played in that location.^[125]

Mass vaccination site [edit]

A mass COVID-19 vaccination site opened Tuesday February 9, 2021, at Levi'south Stadium, with California Governor Gavin Newsom, representatives of the San Francisco 49ers, and Santa Clara County officials on hand to make it official. Five hundred people received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The hope is that eventually, 15,000 vaccines will be administered daily.^[126]
